The breakthrough
Recycled glass, reimagined as high-performance media
ClearTech™ is manufactured from 100% virgin plate glass with a uniform particle size and shape (grading 0.9mm–1.8mm, uniformity coefficient 1.85). That consistency — combined with a sub-angular, high-sphericity surface — gives more effective, more efficient filtration than traditional sand and conventional media, while turning recycled glass into a high-value product.
Its slightly negative surface charge reduces bacterial growth and biofilm accumulation compared with silica media, and because it is lighter than conventional media it fluidises faster during backwash — using less time, less energy and less water every cycle.
